Director of Community Engagement

"Photography is the art of capturing a single moment that tells a thousand stories, a silent testament to the beauty and complexity of life seen through a passionate lens."

Raised in the scenic mountains of Palenville, NY, Anne McGrath has always had a creative eye, capturing the world through her camera lens. Her career spans over 20 years as a professional photographer, along with roles in film production and arts administration for organizations in both New York and Los Angeles. After relocating to Albany in 2005, Anne balanced freelance work with experience at several of the Capital Region’s acclaimed restaurants, including Avenue A and New World Bistro Bar.

Anne’s deep commitment to community service has kept her engaged in volunteer efforts with organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, Soul Fire Farm, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Wildwood Schools. For the past decade, she has pivoted her career toward technology, specializing in Security and Privacy with Etsy and Lyra Health.

As a Board member for Tallawah Arts and Wellness, Anne combines her lifelong passion for the arts and mental wellness, championing community engagement, partnership building, and innovative program development. In her free time, you’ll find her cooking at home with her husband Mike and their two wonderful children, or supporting Albany’s live music scene.
