The Art of Healing: Herbs on Canvas is a restorative, hands-on workshop that blends botanical education with expressive visual art. Guided by herbalist Acacia De La Cruz of Earth and Moon NY, participants explore the traditional healing properties of herbs while creating their own herb-infused artwork. This workshop invites attendees to connect with the natural world and their inner selves through storytelling, sensory experiences, and creative expression.

Participants will be introduced to a curated selection of healing herbs—such as lavender, sage, and calendula—and learn their historical and cultural significance in wellness practices across cultures. Using these herbs as inspiration and actual materials (including herb-infused paints and dried botanicals), participants will then create original works of art on canvas that reflect their personal journeys of healing and resilience. Whether you're a seasoned artist or simply curious about herbal traditions, this experience is open to all skill levels and ages. Join us for an afternoon of reflection, creativity, and connection in a safe and nurturing environment.

Program Goals: • Foster holistic wellness through creative expression • Educate on the uses and cultural histories of healing herbs • Promote community building and personal storytelling • Encourage mindfulness and stress relief through art Target Audience: Adults and youth (ages 5+) interested in art, plant medicine, wellness, and cultural healing traditions.
